This is an unusual effect from Werry released by Supreme Magic c. 1966. It is very easy to do if a little cheeky, but it works surprisingly well and with a small amount of presentation you’ll have something they’ll talk about later. The more you play with the the more you will love it 🙂
I added a Houdini card so that I could perform the $100 Houdini challenge and it looks even better and makes even more sense 🙂

Effect: A Supreme British Exclusive effect and one of the most unusual and puzzling, perplexing penetration that we have ever given you. We guarantee the reaction of your audience will be one of SHEER DISBELIEF.
Two approximately 5″ square, round cornered sheets of plastic are displayed and can be examined. Any playing card is chosen from the deck. No force. The card is sandwiched between the two sheets of plastic.
As further proof of the absence of any jiggery-pokery the spectator can sign a small piece of paper and this is placed between the plates on top of the chosen card. Further to keep everything secure, two, three or four elastic bands can be placed around the plates.
A spectator can firmly hold the edges of the plates. A second spectator merely taps his fingers sharply on them. Visibly a stunning penetration takes place and the chosen card is seen to pass right through the plates and land on the table! Yes, the first spectator is left with the two sheets of plastic, still firmly banded together and still with the signed slip between them.
Everything can be examined, before and after the performance, for all the objects used are UNPREPARED. Simple to perform, devilishly deceptive. Can be performed surrounded. Remember the slip signed by the spectator remains in place, between the plastic plates; THE CARD CRASHES THROUGH.
