Description
What a beauty this Tie Grinda is from Roy Roth the creator of the original Grind-A-Ring that spawned a whole slew of copies and related effects. Very solidly made, great cranking sound, clever method of filling the box with the tie. Can be used in small parlor to large stage.
Effect: Roy Roth created Grind-a-ring, Grind-a-Watch which was soon followed by Credit Card Grinda. Now TIE GRINDA!
The hit of the Brighton IBM Convention 1988. Tie Grinda uses ANY borrowed tie. The borrowed tie is placed into the machine to “clean it”. There is a terrible noise. When performer opens the trap door, out comes a tangled mess!! The full routine tells you how to get out of this predicament. The climax: A locked box is produced, opened, and the undamaged tie is returned to it’s owner 🙂
The Tie Grinda is 8.5″ by 6.5″ by 5.25″. It is brightly colored in formica. The padlocked box is finished in a natural wood style and measures 4.5″ by 4″ by 4″ and covered in a natural wood finish. The Tie Grinda can also take a watch.
